Mayor Bill de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray hosted an Interfaith Luncheon to discuss the importance of vaccinating the hardest hit communities impacted by COVID-19, how best to provide mental health resources to young people and the ways in which the city is taking action to combat violence amongst youth.
The Luncheon began with welcome remarks delivered by Commissioner Roberto Perez followed by invocations from Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Imam Souleymane Konate, and Sabita Geer. Remarks were provided by Dante de Blasio, Lauryn Donaldson, Julian Donaldson, First Lady Chirlane McCray, Dr. Torian Easterling, Gil Monrose, and Pastor Michael Walrond.
