Call the City's 24-hour Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-621-HOPE (1-800-621-4673) for immediate safety planning, shelter assistance, and other resources. For TDD, call 1-866-604-5350.
You can also walk into any New York City Family Justice Center to receive FREE and CONFIDENTIAL assistance for victims/survivors of intimate partner violence, sex trafficking and elder abuse. All Centers are open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No appointment is needed.
New York City Family Justice Centers (FJCs) provide comprehensive safety planning, case management, counseling, criminal justice and civil legal advocacy, and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence, elder abuse and sex trafficking. Located in all five boroughs, FJCs are safe, caring environments that provide one-stop services and support. Key City agencies, community, social and civil legal services providers, and District Attorney's Offices are located on-site at FJCs, to make it easier for survivors to get help.
All are welcome regardless of language, income, gender identity, or immigration status. Spoken translation services are available on-site, and locations are wheelchair accessible. Call ahead to request other accommodations.
