Disability and IPV Training

  • Identify the links between domestic violence, trauma and clients with disabilities.
  • Highlighting what makes this population particularly marginalized, and how systemic and community barriers can be addressed when working therapeutically with these clients.
  • Identify and understand the activation of trauma symptoms and behavioral patterns in adults who are survivors of domestic violence trauma who may have a disability.
  • Build clinical and practical awareness around best practice considerations when working with survivors, involving best and standard practices in providing services, specifically tailored to folks with trauma histories and disabilities

Special Trainings

Occasionally, we offer Special Trainings to introduce key topics. Past topics include: Redefining Services for Survivors of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Forced Marriage.

Register for Overdose Prevention Training on Thursday, July 25th, 2019, at 11 AM-1 PM

Through this valuable training facilitated by Planned Parenthood, you will learn how and when to administer the lifesaving antidote that can reverse the fatal effects of an Opioid overdose and save a person’s life. All participants will receive a free Naloxone Kit after completing the training.
