As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of City employees, WorkWell NYC is offering free and confidential COVID-19 testing exclusively for City employees. While testing is not mandatory, we encourage employees to take advantage of this convenient opportunity. COVID-19 testing is safe and easy.
Worksite testing is available for City of New York employees who do not currently have symptoms of COVID-19. Here’s how to get tested for COVID-19 and stop the spread:
Make an appointment
Testing is available by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be permitted. Please be on time to your appointment. If you are late you may be asked to reschedule.
Bring your insurance card and City-issued ID with you.
There is no co-pay for COVID testing. If you are covered by an insurance plan other than EmblemHealth or Metroplus, please contact your insurer to understand what’s covered for COVID testing on your plan.
Get your test results.
Your COVID-19 test results can be viewed in the BioReference Patient Portal once final. Go to bioreference.com/view-results and click the CREATE AN ACCOUNT button and complete the registration process. You must register for the portal to receive your test results. In most cases your test results will be available in the BioReference Patient Portal within 48-72 hours of your test specimen being received at the laboratory. Once your results are ready, you will receive an email notification. You can find your results by logging back into the portal and clicking the red "COVID-19 Results" link at the top of the page.
Please call Customer Service at 1-888-279-0967 if you do not see your results in the portal after 72 hours.
