The Newest New Yorkers: Characteristics of the City’s Foreign-born Population (2013 edition), a comprehensive portrait of immigrants in New York City. This publication examines where the city’s foreign-born come from, their patterns of settlement and socio-demographic characteristics, the role of the foreign-born in the New York region, and changes in the legal paths of entry of newly admitted immigrants. It concludes by examining the impact of immigrants on the city.
