Policy on Protection for Whistleblowers

POLICY ON PROTECTION FOR WHISTLEBLOWERS

No officer, employee, or director of the New York City Transitional Finance Authority (the “Authority”) may retaliate against any employee or officer of the Authority who makes a good faith report of wrongdoing, misconduct, malfeasance or other inappropriate behavior, such as fraud, criminal activity or conflict of interest, by an officer, employee or director of the Authority by taking an adverse personnel action against the “whistleblower”. Therefore, the “whistleblower” cannot be fired, demoted or disciplined as a result of his/her having reported behavior of a type described above to any employee, officer or director of the Authority or any governmental body or official.
