Angela is currently serving as the Aftercare and Eviction Prevention Coordinator at DVS. In this role she ensures that formerly homeless veterans can establish and maintain stability following their transition from emergency shelters and transitional housing. Angela is responsible for diversion, eviction prevention, crisis intervention, personal budgeting, landlord mediation, and referrals to community partners.
Before joining Team DVS, Angela was part of the diversion team at the Department of Homeless Services PATH intake center under the Homebase Program where she supported veterans in need. She also previously served as a child protective specialist at ACS and a disaster case manager with Catholic Charites Community Services where she aided in efforts to rebuild Staten Island after Hurricane Sandy.
Angela is a veteran of the US Army Reserves where she served for 10 years as a small arms repair specialist and crossed trained as a Unit Administrator and a Combat Medic. She holds an MPA from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in law. She is passionate about real estate, HGTV, law, and immigration.
