Maryhelen is currently serving as the Veteran Peer Coordinator (VPC) Program Director at DVS. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the agency’s peer-to-peer model of advocacy on behalf of homeless veterans and their spouses. She further develops and sustains the VPC program by ensuring veterans have access to safe and affordable housing and can more easily navigate the landscape of governmental and not-for-profit resources throughout New York City.
Before joining Team DVS, Rosales served as Coordinator of Campus and External Relations at Estrella Mountain Community College where she was responsible for cultivating relationships with community partners, as well as creating and expanding new support programs.
Rosales is a veteran of the US Air Force where she served as a Command and Control Specialist. She holds a BS from Northern Arizona University. Her passion for service has led her to play a key role in numerous veteran initiatives, including the development of "Green Zone" training in her hometown of Phoenix. The training program is designed to foster a culture of support, awareness, and inclusivity of student veterans and employees.
