By Mayor's Office of Creative Communications - Nov 6, 2016 On Veterans Day, we honor heroes like Andre Sylvain, a former Combat Engineer in the United States Army and one of the many veterans who New York City has helped find a home. In the last five years, NYC has reduced veteran homelessness by over 90% and, since last Veterans Day, has placed over 1,600 homeless veterans into permanent affordable housing. But there is always more service to be done for those who served us.
By Mayor's Office of Creative Communications - Dec 24, 2016 "I joined in 1968. And if I was born again, I'd be military again." - Samuel Rosado. This week, the honor was all ours when we helped Samuel move into his new affordable home - just in time for the holidays. Watch the video for the story. And if you know a veteran in need of affordable housing, contact us or call NYC 311 today. Spread the word!
