The Richmond County Clerk maintains property records for Staten Island. These records are open for inspection.
Property records for the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens can be recorded and corrected through the City's Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), at ACRIS terminals in City Register Offices or the Manhattan City Register Office. Staten Island property records must be recorded and corrected at the office of the Richmond County Clerk.
For copies of records, such as a deed, for properties in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens, you can make a request online through ACRIS (for records dated from 1966 to the present) or at a City Register Office. For properties in Staten Island, copies are available through the Richmond County Clerk's Office.
