Patients have the right to designate any visitors, including a spouse, domestic partner, a same sex domestic partner, another family member or a friend. This hospital does not restrict, limit or otherwise deny visitation privileges based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability. Patients may withdraw or deny consent to visitation to anyone at any time.

The Gift Shop hours are:
Monday - Friday  8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

The North Bronx Healthcare Network acknowledges the importance of allowing a family member, friend or other individual of the patient's choosing to be present with the patient for the purpose of providing emotional support during the patient's stay within Jacobi Medical Center. Please take a moment to read Jacobi's visitation policy.

To ensure the safety of patients and personnel throughout our hospital, we require that every visitor stop at the Information Desk in the main lobby (Building #6) to pick up a Visitor’s Pass. Since visitors may be asked at any time to display the pass, we encourage them to clip the pass onto their clothing while visiting. Generally each patient may receive two visitors at a time (see chart below for special instructions). Children under age 12 are not permitted in patient rooms (except on Maternity Unit).
