The Public Engagement Unit’s (PEU) Home Support Unit works with landlords, real estate brokers, and property managers in all five boroughs to lease vacant apartments to qualified New Yorkers receiving recession-resistant rental assistance, including FHEPS, CityFHEPS, SOTA, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and the new Section 8 Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV).

Our Specialists can help landlords and brokers navigate the rental process by:

  • Bringing qualified tenants to showings and open houses
  • Providing technical assistance with leasing paperwork
  • Offering concierge support after the lease begins
