Sylvia Aude

Sylvia Aude was appointed NYCHA’s Senior Vice President of Public Housing Tenancy in April 2022. Ms. Aude is responsible for management and driving overall performance of over 150 employees in three departments focused on public housing application waitlist management and policy development, implementation, and strategic guidance and oversight. Among the key initiatives she helped lead was the implementation of a more user-friendly online portal for public housing residents to complete their Annual Recertification. Her team strives to alleviate the administrative burden from property management staff and ensure consistency in service delivery so that property managers can focus on meaningful engagement with residents.

She has held various roles during her more than 10 years of service to NYCHA, including Director of Operations for the Office of the General Manager, Director of Management Services, Senior Advisor, and Program Manager. Ms. Aude earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial economics from Union College.
