Language Access Plan

Mayoral Executive Order 120, issued July 22, 2008, is the City-wide policy on language access to ensure the effective delivery of City services. This policy requires all City agencies that provide direct public services to ensure meaningful access to services by taking reasonable steps to develop and implement agency-specific language assistance plans regarding limited English proficient persons.

Language Assistance Services

This Standard Procedure explains how the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) provides language assistance services to Limited English Proficient (LEP) persons. These services are designed to promote the meaningful access of LEP persons to NYCHA programs and activities.
