Individuals responsible for operating or supervising battery systems must hold a Certificate of Fitness. Battery systems, specifically uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, provide power to ensure the ongoing operation of critical systems such as those used in hospitals, banks, hotels, etc. Battery systems can pose a number of hazards including fire, explosion, high voltage electricity, electrical and acid burns, and acid contamination.

This Certificate of Fitness is valid only at a specific location and for the specific person to whom it is issued.
